Labor and Employment Associate

They are currently seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Associate with 3 to 4 years of dedicated litigation experience in labor and employment law. This role is perfect for a driven legal professional eager to thrive in a dynamic environment, providing expert legal services on a variety of labor and employment matters.
**Candidates must reside in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley to be considered.

Focus:
• Manage a diverse caseload of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour class action litigation, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, and individual plaintiff employment disputes.
• Draft, review, and revise employee handbooks, and provide day-to-day legal advice and counseling to clients.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings with precision.
• Engage in all phases of discovery, motion practice, and depositions, both taking and defending.
• Participate in trial preparation for both state and federal court proceedings.
• Assist in settlement conferences and negotiation sessions to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Skill Set:
• Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Must be an active member in good standing of the California Bar.
• 3-4 years of experience in labor and employment litigation, with a strong focus on California-specific labor laws.
• Demonstrated ability in handling California wage and hour class action litigation, PAGA claims, and single-plaintiff employment litigation.
• Strong legal writing skills and substantial experience in legal drafting and courtroom procedures.
• Preferred experience includes trial preparation and active participation in settlement discussions and negotiations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
