Supporting the causes our team cares about most is a tradition we’re proud to continue through our annual Blue Signal Gives Back 2025 initiative. Each year, employees team up to compete for a donation to the nonprofit of their choice — with Blue Signal matching the funds. This year, the support was even greater thanks to a generous bonus contribution from Desert Financial Credit Union.
This year, the winning team was Staci Cologero and Laura Jones, who chose to support the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL), the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter. Together, we donated a total of $2,190 to AAWL to help provide food, shelter, and medical care for animals in need. As a team full of proud pet lovers, this cause felt especially close to home — you can meet some of our cute coworkers on our BSS Pets page.
Turning Teamwork into Impact with Blue Signal Gives Back

This year, Blue Signal teamed up with Desert Financial Credit Union to support our giving-back initiative. In a metrics-driven contest spanning key performance milestones, teams of two (Recruiters paired with Operations, Marketing, Finance, or People & Culture specialists) competed to represent nonprofit organizations meaningful to them. The top-performing duo received full donation matching from Blue Signal, with the final total boosted by Desert Financial’s generous bonus contribution.
- Winners: Staci Cologero & Laura Jones
- Cause: Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL)
- Total Donation: $2,190
- Blue Signal match: $1,190
- Desert Financial bonus: $1,000
What mattered most about this win was the opportunity to support a mission that truly resonates: helping animals in need across Arizona. With help from this year’s Blue Signal Gives Back 2025 donation, more pets will receive the shelter, medical care, and second chances they deserve.
