DAS Engineer

The DAS Engineer will be responsible for hands on support through design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced communication systems to meet specific project needs.

Focus:

Perform site surveys to evaluate location and identify requirements for system design, including RF data collection. Design, engineer, analyze, commission, configure, and test RF and DAS projects for a variety of public safety/ERRCS and cellular customers. Collaborate with PMs on BOMs, budget, scope, timeline, project specifications, materials, and more. Assist with coordination of engineers and resources. Work with iBwave for empirical and predictive design tools to operate test equipment and run post processing software. Create and interpret iBwave designs. Work with PMs and design team to complete system changes and upgrades. Capability to grasp the architectural aspects and configuration of public safety/ERRCS systems. Attend site walks and preconstruction activities. Provide project updates and act as a technical resource for escalations and obstacles. Interface directly with customers to update on project delivery, obstacles, milestones, acting as a technical resource. Ensure regulatory standards for public safety, NFPA/IFC, DAS, and 5G are met.

Skill Set:

3+ years of hands-on design and field engineering experience in RF and DAS projects. BSEE or related engineering degree. Certification required in iBwave (Level 1); Level 2 preferred. Hands-on prototyping and design experience. Technical proficiency with commissioning and troubleshooting, DAS OEM equipment, RF antennas, fiber and cable for DAS, and small cell installations. Demonstrated experience in public safety/ERRCS DAS design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Strong proficiency in wireless technology solutions and protocols, including LTE, CDMA, UMTS, GSM, etc. Demonstrated customer-facing skills with strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to travel within region and have an active/valid drivers’ license.

Our client is an expert in the telecom and wireless space. They provide a full range of wireless solutions, including DAS, security, small cell, antenna/RF systems, and more. They are hiring a DAS Project Manager to ensure the successful execution of wireless projects.
The DAS Project Manager will oversee regional deployments of indoor DAS projects. They will have full responsibility for managing deadlines, progression, updates, and prioritization. They will coordinate resources, personnel, and vendors and ensure top-quality work.

Focus:
• Manage DAS implementation, upgrade, and maintenance projects from high-level end to end.
• Oversee project scheduling, team prioritization, and updates.
• Support the team in completing projects per customer SLAs – on time and with exceptional quality.
• Track deliverables and monitor changes and obstacles. Provide regular reports and project updates to stakeholders.
• Manage communication and collaborate with executives, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Manage project documentation, including BOM, quotes, invoices, and close-out package.
• Manage DAS indoor projects with technical expertise. Be SME for all things DAS.
• Ensure regulatory standards for public safety, DAS, and 5G are met.

Skill Set:
• 3+ years of experience overseeing projects within the wireless, communications, or related industry.
• Background in DAS, a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. PMP certification completed or in progress.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to oversee schedules, team coordination, and meet project deadlines.
