Our client is a rapidly expanding specialty LED lighting and controls manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced lighting industry sales professional to fill the role of Lighting Specification Regional Sales Manager. The primary focus of this position is to enhance the company’s brand among the lighting design community and support its sustained sales growth.
The Lighting Specification Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the VP of Sales and will receive support from an inside sales group, the marketing team, and the company’s highly regarded support team.

Focus:
• Oversee, manage, and expand independent lighting agents within an assigned region, focusing on the Western US Region.
• Cultivate strong business relationships within the lighting industry, identifying sales opportunities and product development potential.
• Act as the brand ambassador, maintaining a positive image and increasing brand awareness within the target market.
• Train, develop, motivate, and support our team of sales agents to develop new business and generate revenue.
• Strategize and implement plans to increase penetration within existing accounts.
• Introduce new products to all client types within the assigned region, providing tailored product knowledge and application support.
• Attend trade shows, agency events, and other key territory functions to create new leads and foster existing relationships.
• Provide regular written and verbal input on competitive products, industry trends, and potential market opportunities.
• Execute a pipeline-project tracking and forecasting model to ensure consistent sales progress.
• Collaborate with all internal departments to ensure client experience is supported and seamless.
Skill Set:
• Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or other relevant industry specialty. Additional certifications are a plus.
• 5 or more years of channel and/or territory sales experience in the commercial and/or specification lighting industry.
• Firm background in the lighting/manufacturing/engineering space.
• Strong relationship-building skills at all levels, with outstanding professionalism and commitment to customer experience.
• Demonstrated ability to create and conduct sales presentations specifically tailored to clients’ needs.
• Existing senior-level relationships with architects, lighting designers, lighting rep agencies, distributors, a plus.
• Proficient in relevant computer software and/or applications.
• Quick learner with ambitious work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion to succeed in the lighting industry.
• Work within a major market in the Western part of the US and live within a reasonable distance to an airport.
• Superior communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to travel up to 70%.
