As a Technical Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering competency-based learning and assessment to a diverse group of learners, both on and off the job. Collaborating within a team of educators, you will uphold technical training values, policies, and procedures at all times.

Focus:
Deliver competency-based learning programs using provided materials and tools, both on and off the job, to meet the development needs and quality standards of participants. Assist in assessing participants using established assessment tools, ensuring alignment with development goals and quality standards. Adhere to established learning and assessment schedules to ensure timely delivery of programs. Maintain accurate records of participant learning and assessment results, updating the company learning management system accordingly. Provide technical support and advice as needed to meet and exceed customer expectations. Demonstrate adherence to technical training values, policies, and procedures, serving as a role model for program participants. Collaborate with the Technical Training Department to ensure programs meet established standards of competency-based learning. Apply principles of adult learning to maximize participant development opportunities. Perform additional duties as required to support departmental objectives.
Skill Set:
Demonstrated technical competence equivalent to an experienced Tradesperson/Journeyman, with a minimum of five (5) years of directly related work experience.
Proficiency in delivering and assessing competency-based learning programs using existing materials and tools. Experience operating Cat machinery, including Motor Graders, excavators, loaders, and dozers. Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards. Comfort working in potentially stressful environments plus strong analytical thinking skills. Willingness to work in mine or manufacturing plant settings, which may involve exposure to various hazards and require the use of personal protective equipment.
