Our client, a leader in food manufacturing, is searching for a strategic Vice President of Quality to drive quality assurance and safety across multiple production facilities. This position is critical in ensuring the highest standards in food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in managing quality operations in the food industry, with hands-on experience in USDA-regulated environments and a track record of successful team leadership.

Focus:
• Oversee the Quality Assurance Department, ensuring all food safety and quality protocols are rigorously maintained and improved.
• Develop and mentor the QA team across locations to foster expertise and accountability in maintaining product integrity.
• Implement and manage continuous improvement of the quality systems, integrating innovative practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for food safety matters, interacting with regulatory bodies and customers to ensure compliance and address concerns.
• Lead crisis management efforts related to quality or safety issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams to manage and mitigate risks.
• Design and supervise training programs for QA staff and other departments on quality and safety standards.
Skill Set:
• 10+ years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing sector, with at least 8 years in a directorial or higher capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree and SQF Practitioner status are preferred.
• Proven ability in leading quality assurance programs in environments regulated by the USDA and/or FDA.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing large teams and complex projects.
• Proficiency in HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and other food safety standards.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication within a diverse workforce.
