This executive role is crucial in shaping and executing a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy to enhance the organization’s impact in the community. The Vice President will oversee a dedicated team, including a Grants Coordinator and a Fundraising Coordinator, and will manage various philanthropic initiatives, events, and campaigns.

Focus:
Develop and execute a long-term fundraising and marketing strategy. Oversee annual fundraising, major gifts, planned giving, endowments, grants, and corporate support. Lead and manage donor cultivation events, community reports, newsletters, and direct mail solicitations. Supervise staff responsible for major gift fundraising, marketing, special events, community relations, grant development, organizational communications, and social media.
Form and sustain relationships with existing donors and engage prospective donors. Publicly represent the organization as a community leader. Guide multiple engagement campaigns and cultivate a donor base for significant contributions ($10,000+). Implement and plan individual cultivation strategies for planned giving commitments. Inspire staff and expand the donor base through innovative and creative approaches. Develop pathways for new donor interest to support the organization’s mission.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; Master’s Degree preferred. 7-10 years of experience managing a comprehensive and successful fundraising program. Proven success in asking for, and closing, major gifts and building long-term relationships with donors, foundations, and corporations. Ability to create and implement a strategic fundraising plan. Experience managing special events and overseeing multi-million-dollar fundraising programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in development and marketing-related writing. Ability to publicly present in a convincing and professional manner. Enthusiasm, energy, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Experience collaborating with executive leadership. Knowledge of and comfort with the Jewish community and history in the Greater Phoenix metro area. Experience with grants and foundations and working with a nonprofit Board of Directors.
