Vice President of Sales (Nationwide – Remote)
An innovative leader in national electrical and energy solutions is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales to drive expansion and strategic revenue growth. This role will focus on national account development within the retail, grocery, and commercial property sectors. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in service-based B2B sales and a strong leadership track record within the electrical contracting or lighting industries.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth & National Account Development
• Spearhead national business development targeting multi-site retail, grocery, and commercial property groups.
• Drive client acquisition for recurring service agreements covering lighting retrofits, energy efficiency upgrades, EV charger installations, and ongoing electrical maintenance.
• Establish long-term relationships with key decision-makers at enterprise-level organizations.
Sales Leadership
• Lead and develop a growing team of sales professionals with a focus on national reach and strategic market penetration.
• Set and monitor sales targets, implement KPIs, and provide ongoing coaching to optimize performance.
• Introduce systems, tools, and processes that support team accountability and scalability.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
• Serve as a senior point of contact for priority accounts across multiple regions and projects.
• Ensure consistent delivery, communication, and service quality across client engagements.
• Partner closely with project managers and operations to ensure execution aligns with client expectations.
Solution-Oriented Sales Approach
• Develop tailored proposals leveraging utility rebate programs, energy savings models, and ROI-based strategies.
• Communicate value-based service offerings that differentiate the company from material-only competitors.
• Stay informed on industry trends, rebates, and incentive programs to drive customer value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with internal estimating, technical, and field teams to ensure pricing accuracy, project scope alignment, and schedule adherence.
• Work with marketing to design targeted campaigns for core client segments.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years in a national or enterprise-level B2B sales role within lighting, electrical contracting, commercial services, or energy efficiency.
• Background in commercial retrofit, MRO, or maintenance services (not product-only sales).
• Strong understanding of construction project workflows, technical proposals, and service-based selling.
• Experience managing sales teams in a player-coach capacity with proven leadership results.
• Ability to read construction plans and understand scopes of work.
• Skilled in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel for client development and relationship management as needed.
