Vice President of Sales
Our client, a prominent intermediary between lighting manufacturers and buyers, is seeking a Vice President of Sales to oversee their sales division in lighting solutions within a specific regional territory. This executive role is designed for a seasoned professional who excels in leadership and has a deep understanding of the lighting and controls industry. The Vice President of Sales will lead a team to enhance sales strategies, elevate customer service, and uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence and innovation in the marketplace.
This role is located on-site in Denver, CO. Our client will be willing to relocate for the right candidate.

Focus:
• Spearhead the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders in municipalities, utilities, and departments of transportation to boost sales across the designated territory.
• Guide the sales team in crafting lighting configurations, performing photometric analyses, and producing documentation to ensure client compliance.
• Drive strategic discussions during client meetings and interactions with manufacturers.
• Ensure timely responses to client inquiries and efficient management of service requests.
• Oversee the adherence to proposal deadlines and project deliverables.
• Champion continuous education and represent the company at industry events, sometimes beyond regular working hours.
• Travel within the territory and occasionally to other states for conferences and visits to manufacturers.
Skill Set:
• At least 10 years of experience in sales, with a strong background in the lighting industry.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Manufacturer’s Representative.
• Proven leadership capabilities with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of lighting products and controls, with a demonstrated expertise in project bidding and sales strategy.
• Exceptional ability to lead and train a sales team, ensuring professional development and excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with industry-specific software such as Bluebeam, AGI32, and AutoCAD.
