Thermoforming Development Engineer

Focus:
Design, develop, and execute thermoforming solutions that fulfill customer and market needs, ensuring alignment with our sustainability objectives.
Serve as a technical advisor within the organization and to external customers, providing expertise in thermoforming technologies and materials.
Stay informed on industry trends and technological advancements to maintain our competitive edge. Lead and participate in projects that explore new technologies and materials.
Establish and drive critical quality specifications, ensuring all products and processes meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
Utilize advanced problem-solving methodologies, such as Design of Experiment (DOE), Lean Six Sigma, and statistical analysis, to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of projects and contribute to the organizational knowledge base, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Quality, to address technical challenges and drive sustainable solutions.
Safeguard company intellectual property while effectively sharing information with stakeholders to meet business needs.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field.
5-8+ years of experience in a technical capacity within manufacturing, research and development, or process engineering, ideally with a focus on thermoforming.
Proven track record of leading product and process development initiatives with sustainable outcomes.
Proficiency in project management, Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiment, and statistical analysis.
Strong business acumen and ability to synthesize technical information to drive business results.
