Staff Accountant
Our client, a leading provider of commercial real estate solutions, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid foundation in accounting practices, particularly within the commercial real estate or construction sectors. The Staff Accountant will handle various financial tasks related to property management and ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records.

Focus:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for commercial properties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and monthly closing procedures for multiple entities.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports for property management.
• Collaborate with property managers to review and reconcile tenant accounts, including rent collection and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Provide support for external audits and coordinate audit requests.
• Utilize accounting software to manage property portfolios and ensure seamless financial transactions.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of accounting experience in the commercial real estate or construction industry is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience with property management accounting, ideally in commercial real estate.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Yardi is highly desirable.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and Word, are required.
• Knowledge of Apple operating systems is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and create detailed reports.
