Sr. Industrial Engineer
Our client, a prominent manufacturer of building materials renowned for their structural products, is dedicated to ensuring both product quality and availability. In line with their commitment, they are in search of an Sr Industrial Engineer.
In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for executing capital projects, improving manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced industrial environment. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will collaborate with various departments to optimize equipment utilization and reliability, while ensuring alignment with maintenance strategies. Your expertise in managing large capital projects, troubleshooting, and modification of processes will play a key role in the overall productivity and operational success of the facility.

Focus:
Lead and manage capital projects with budgets of up to $1 million, ensuring timely execution and completion.
Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement, focusing on equipment uptime, reliability, and production flow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align equipment life cycle plans with capital improvement goals.
Identify and troubleshoot production inefficiencies, working closely with the maintenance team to resolve issues.
Drive initiatives to improve safety, material flow, and productivity through lean manufacturing principles.
Oversee equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications to optimize plant performance.
Utilize tools such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis to prevent issues and enhance reliability.
Partner with purchasing and maintenance departments to ensure availability of parts and services for operational continuity.
Maintain accurate records of project statuses and equipment performance in the company’s maintenance management system.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with a proven track record in capital project management and process improvement.
Strong experience in continuous improvement methodologies and equipment lifecycle management.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, troubleshooting techniques, and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in project management tools, SAP (or equivalent CMMS), and MS Office Suite.
Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
Strong organizational and planning abilities with the capacity to prioritize critical tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
High level of technical expertise, with the ability to analyze and interpret data for process optimization.
Proficiency in managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on key performance indicators (KPIs).
