They are hiring a Sr. CAPEX Project Manager experienced in the industrial/manufacturing and fermentation space to serve as the subject matter expert through all stages of a project’s lifecycle.
The Sr. CAPEX Project Manager will be responsible for delivery of biosystem project goals in terms of cost, time, functionality, regulations, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), safety and according to expectations. This individual will provide leadership to the Project Management team while ensuring compliance with all pertinent safety policies, rules, and regulations.

Focus:
Lead biotech project initiatives, utilizing extensive biochemical expertise for strategic development and implementation. Strategize and oversee project development, aligning with key industry methodologies for efficient execution. Regularly update stakeholders on project progress using established reporting frameworks. Handle project modifications and risk response strategies effectively. Adhere to compliance standards for operational safety, quality control, and regulatory guidelines. Drive safety initiatives among contractors through proactive measures and evaluations. Safeguard operational integrity and equipment reliability throughout project phases. Direct the preparation and management of critical project-related documentation. Guide and coordinate with external partners to ensure structured project progression. Align project execution with overarching strategic governance and steering committee directives.
Skill Set:
10+ years of experience in heavy industrial project management. Demonstrated history working with complex, multi-year biosystems projects with a focus in various fermentation methodologies. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field – chemical engineering, technology, etc. PMP or similar project management certification. Experience working with EPC and EPCM contractors. Background in industrial project management with strong understanding of project planning, processes, and commissioning. Understanding of KPIs and cost engineering as they relate to CAPEX project management. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a detail-oriented approach. Physical capability to work in environments with heights and open floor grading and move objects over 40 lbs. Proven track record of successful project management from design to installation. Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera, and Microsoft Office applications.
