Sr Avionics Engineer
Our client, a company in the aerospace industry, specializes in innovative satellite technology and space exploration. Known for their rapid development and cost-effective solutions, they hold numerous patents and have contributed to significant projects. They are seeking a dynamic Senior Avionics Engineer to join their team.
As a Senior Avionics Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing advanced avionics systems for their spacecraft. This role requires a strong background in Radio Frequency (RF) engineering and an in-depth understanding of spacecraft systems, including power, computers, and sensors. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration and operation of avionics systems in satellite projects.

Focus:
Design and develop avionics systems for spacecraft, with a strong emphasis on RF engineering and circuit design.
Lead the development and integration of antennas, power systems, computers, and sensors (e.g., accelerometers, reaction wheels) on spacecraft.
Work collaboratively with flight software engineers to ensure seamless interaction between hardware and software systems.
Oversee the end-to-end development of avionics systems for satellite missions, including system design, testing, and validation.
Contribute to the automation of satellite design processes, leveraging advanced engineering tools and methodologies.
Engage in hands-on problem-solving and orthogonal thinking to address complex engineering challenges.
Collaborate with a creative and multidisciplinary team to drive innovation in spacecraft design and development.
Skill Set:
10+ years of experience in avionics engineering, with a strong focus on RF systems and spacecraft.
Proven experience in designing and integrating avionics systems for spacecraft, including power, computers, and sensors.
Proficiency in RS422, LVDS, RS432, and Ethernet protocols.
Experience with flight software languages such as F Prime, CFS, MAX, or Bright Ascension is a plus.
Strong understanding of the latest developments in satellite technology and avionics systems.
Experience working with leading aerospace companies (e.g., Blue Canyon, Millennium Space Systems, Terran Orbital, Sierra Space, SpaceX, York Space, Planet) is highly desirable.
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
