Senior Satellite Bus Consultant

As part of their ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, they are seeking an experienced Senior Satellite Bus Consultant to take a leading role in the design, development, and integration of next-generation satellite systems.
This position involves deep technical expertise, collaborative problem-solving, and close interaction with suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-performance satellite buses.

Focus:
Provide in-depth technical expertise in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite bus subsystems, including structural, thermal, power, propulsion, and data handling.
Collaborate with satellite payload teams to ensure seamless interface and integration.
Oversee the design and development of satellite bus systems, collaborating with suppliers to track technical progress and offer strategic direction.
Analyze and interpret system requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
Support design and analysis teams to deliver a robust and optimized spacecraft bus solution.
Partner with program management to address tasks such as schedule optimization and risk assessment.
Proactively identify and resolve design and production issues to maintain project timelines.
Skill Set:
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, with 10–12 years of relevant experience; or
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, with 15 years of relevant experience.
Proven track record in defining, documenting, and presenting solutions to complex technical challenges.
Experience working across engineering disciplines to establish and document technical requirements and specifications.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Outstanding organizational abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
Proven capability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
High ethical standards, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to balance detailed technical analysis with a broader systems perspective.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and collaborative, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
