Location: Remote – USA

A national engineering consultancy driving mission-critical infrastructure across the U.S. is seeking a Senior Estimating Leader, Automation Systems to spearhead large-scale project estimates in a fully remote capacity. This high-impact role will play a key part in winning major programs-valued from $10M to $150M, for some of the world’s most demanding environments including hyperscale data centers and specialized industrial systems.

The position offers significant autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to implement modern estimating methodologies using cutting-edge digital tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle estimating for Building Automation, PLC, SCADA, and OT systems in high-stakes environments.
• Build and maintain cost models, develop scopes from schematic drawings, and analyze bid documentation.
• Collaborate with business development, engineering, and project management to align estimates with technical and strategic objectives.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing, and manage OEM partnerships across the country.
• Drive innovation in estimation processes using dashboards, Procore, Power BI, and AI-enhanced tools.
• Mentor junior team members and support their professional development to scale internal estimating capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in automation estimating, preferably with exposure to mission-critical, industrial, or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of Rockwell, Schneider, Niagara4, Ignition, and AVEVA platforms.
• Deep understanding of standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, and their application in design/build scenarios.
• Proficiency in Procore, Building Connected, Bluebeam, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
