Location: Remote – USA

A national engineering consultancy driving mission-critical infrastructure across the U.S. is seeking a Senior Estimating Leader, Automation Systems to spearhead large-scale project estimates in a fully remote capacity. This high-impact role will play a key part in winning major programs-valued from $10M to $150M, for some of the world’s most demanding environments including hyperscale data centers and specialized industrial systems.

The position offers significant autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to implement modern estimating methodologies using cutting-edge digital tools.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle estimating for Building Automation, PLC, SCADA, and OT systems in high-stakes environments.

Build and maintain cost models, develop scopes from schematic drawings, and analyze bid documentation.

Collaborate with business development, engineering, and project management to align estimates with technical and strategic objectives.

Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing, and manage OEM partnerships across the country.

Drive innovation in estimation processes using dashboards, Procore, Power BI, and AI-enhanced tools.

Mentor junior team members and support their professional development to scale internal estimating capabilities.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in automation estimating, preferably with exposure to mission-critical, industrial, or data center projects.

Strong knowledge of Rockwell, Schneider, Niagara4, Ignition, and AVEVA platforms.

Deep understanding of standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 508A, and their application in design/build scenarios.

Proficiency in Procore, Building Connected, Bluebeam, and data visualization tools like Power BI.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
