Our client is a recognized leader in the commercial lighting space, delivering tailored solutions to a wide range of customers including contractors, architects, designers, and distributors. This role supports clients across the full commercial project cycle—from early-stage design conversations to product selection, quoting, and post-sale service. You’ll have the flexibility to tailor your approach based on customer type and project requirements. Whether working directly with a contractor managing timelines or helping a designer choose the right specification, your success will come from building trust, identifying needs, and providing responsive, expert-level support.
You won’t be expected to cover all areas of the sales process all the time, but your ability to navigate across customer types and sales stages will allow you to own your accounts and drive long-term value

Focus:
Cultivate relationships with contractors, distributors, architects, and designers involved in commercial lighting projects.
Identify new opportunities through proactive outreach and relationship management.
Present lighting solutions through one-on-one conversations, demonstrations, or structured presentations when needed.
Support the sales cycle through quoting, submittals, order entry, and project coordination.
Help clients define specifications and select products that meet their technical and design requirements.
Manage day-to-day customer communication and ensure a seamless follow-through on sales commitments.
Stay current on industry developments, products, and standards through ongoing learning and collaboration
Skill Set:
3+ years of experience in sales within the commercial lighting industry.
Demonstrated ability to work with a range of buyers and influencers on commercial projects.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively.
Familiarity with quoting tools, project documentation, and CRM systems.
Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32, or similar tools is helpful but not required.
A Lighting Certification (LC) or degree in a related field is a plus.
