RF Systems Engineer
Our client provides a full range of market-leading wireless solutions, including DAS, in-building cellular, and more. They are seeking a skilled RF Systems Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance in-building wireless coverage.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at working independently, with strong communication and technical skills.

Focus:
Monitor timeline for interim and final testing of projects and complete closeout documentation with supporting grids and reports. Perform testing as needed throughout project phases, coordinating with PMs, CMS, and project team. Complete site surveys and inspection needs for RF inspection department. Perform all RF inspections in a timely and proficient manner. Perform cable sweeps. Accurately document and photograph all equipment (including serial numbers and model numbers) and any other pertinent info from the job site. Document all deficiencies found during inspections.
Develop accurate completed grids for all public safety surveys. Provide accurate pass/fail letters with appropriate AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) information. Work with accounting to determine payment for release of pass/fail results to the customer. For failed inspections, provide in-depth reports of all deficiencies and mandatory notification requirements. Ensure all completed reports are ready within 48 hours of test commencement. Manage and maintain all necessary paper and electronic files for each project to document all steps of the job progress and protect company archives in case of legal disputes. Troubleshoot overall system performance.
Skill Set:
Knowledge of equipment such as scanners and spectrum analyzers. Highly organized and skilled at time management. Comfortable with computer entry; strong capabilities with Google Docs/Sheets, Excel, Word, etc. Experience installing ERRCS. Possess knowledge on UL noise. Expertise calculating link budgets. Strong verbal and communication skills with company staff, contractors, and clients. Detail-oriented with prominent levels of accuracy. A sense of urgency and follow-up; initiative to solve problems and learn. Clean driving record and reliable vehicle; willingness to drive personal vehicle. Self-sufficient and comfortable working alone at times. Ability to adapt and support innovative technologies implemented by the company, such as learning new software.
Familiarity with test equipment and on-site installed equipment, such as BDAs. Familiarity with the DAS industry or construction is a plus. Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.
