About the Opportunity
A nationwide leader in distribution is scaling its early-career talent programs and seeks a Recruiting Manager (Campus) to own strategy, execution, and team leadership. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will craft the roadmap that positions the company as an employer of choice across tier-one universities while mentoring a small, high-performing team of campus recruiters. What You’ll Do
• Build and execute an annual campus recruiting roadmap that elevates our brand at key universities throughout the Southeast.
• Maintain a year-round funnel of early-career talent through career fairs, student organizations, digital sourcing, and employee referrals.
• Manage requisitions for internships and new-graduate roles, ensuring a gold-standard candidate experience from first touch through onboarding.
• Act as a player-coach: personally oversee 2–3 core university partnerships while coaching campus recruiters via weekly 1:1s, semester planning sessions, and performance feedback.
• Translate workforce forecasts into data-driven recruiting plans and dashboards; present insights to senior leadership
• Track, analyze, and iterate on talent metrics (event ROI, funnel conversion, time-to-fill) to continually improve results.
• Monitor emerging campus-hiring trends, DEI best practices, and competitor activity to keep strategies fresh and competitive.
• Uphold university career-center guidelines and internal policies across all recruiting activities.
• Weave inclusive messaging and equitable practices into every candidate touchpoint.
• Organize an annual in-person recruiter summit to share best practices and strengthen collaboration.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of university / campus recruiting experience, with ≥ 2 years leading or mentoring recruiters.
• Proven success creating campus outreach strategies and managing end-to-end hiring processes.
• Expertise with Handshake, LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM/ATS platforms, and social sourcing techniques.
• Strong analytical skills; comfortable building reports and presenting insights to executives.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
• A bachelor’s level education or commensurate work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25 % during peak seasons.
