Our client has an impressive industry reputation based on quality customer service, attention to detail, and a high commitment to ethics. They are hiring a Project Manager to oversee capital projects in one of their locations.
The Project Manager will engage with different business sectors and essential cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations regarding the project’s scope, timeline, and financial parameters. This individual will lead project implementations, working with a team of professionals to execute various project initiatives and ensure high-quality outcomes for projects valued up to $20 million, which have significant cost improvement and critical infrastructure impact.

Focus:
Promote and drive contractor safety using preventive action plans and safety metrics.
Ensure the safety and reliability of existing equipment during project implementation.
Define project scope and plan delivery according to a roles & responsibility matrix. Execute projects, including costing and implementation, following Front End Loading (FEL) guidelines.
Conduct project site field reviews during development and execution to identify potential clashes and develop mitigation plans to maintain budget and schedule.
Provide monthly project reporting to stakeholders through FEL, execution, commissioning, and capitalization/closure phases.
Manage scope changes and risk escalation processes.
Comply with local legislation and requirements for permitting, safety legislation, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, Hazop, and TPS policy.
Coordinate the development of all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, and maintenance, ensuring all records required by legislation and policies are maintained.
Direct contractual partners for project execution, including maintaining a well-defined work breakdown structure.
Establish project structure and coordinate with the project steering committee according to project governance guidelines.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
Minimum of 5 years managing several industrial projects of varying complexity, ranging in size from $1 to $10 million or equivalent experience.
Experience with cost engineering and key performance indicators.
Proficiency in industrial process project planning and scheduling with multi-craft trades.
Experience with industrial process project commissioning means and methods.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Primavera, or other resource-loaded scheduling tools.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP Certification or willingness to obtain it.
Experience working with third-party design firms executing under various contractual methodologies.
Experience managing multi-year projects with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience executing revamp and brownfield projects or related experience.
Familiarity with stage gate project execution.
