Project Lead – Structured Cabling
At our client’s organization, they are pioneering the future of intelligent infrastructure by designing, constructing, and managing cyber-physical systems for some of the most critical and secure environments across the globe. They are seeking a Project Lead specializing in Structured Cabling.
The Project Lead is a critical role responsible for guiding the strategy, execution, and successful completion of complex telecommunications projects. This role demands a strong background in telecommunications systems, including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, and DAS. The successful candidate will mentor junior project leaders, field superintendents, and trades personnel, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently and profitably.

Focus:
Oversee all phases of telecommunications project life cycles, including planning, design, engineering, field installation, and project closeout.
Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Lead project kickoff meetings and regular project reviews to ensure consistent progress and address any issues.
Manage subcontractors and coordinate with multiple project teams to ensure seamless execution of telecommunications installations.
Monitor and control project financials, ensuring positive cash flow and profitability.
Prepare detailed RFPs, Scopes of Work, and project estimates, and present these to clients as needed.
Ensure all project documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals, is accurate and submitted timely.
Maintain a deep understanding of contract language and engage in negotiations as necessary to protect the company’s interests.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Skill Set:
7-9 years of experience in telecommunications and security systems construction with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
5-7 years of relevant experience with a Master’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in complex market sectors, particularly in Federal Aviation, Government Airports, Higher Education, and Information Transit Systems.
Proficiency in Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Accubid, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
RCDD Certification is mandatory.
Demonstrated experience in managing projects with budgets ranging from $500K to over $10M.
