Their multi-faceted firm encompasses various divisions, including the Communications Engineering Division, where they are currently seeking a Professional Telecom Engineer to join the team.
As a Professional Telecom Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in their Communications Engineering Division, contributing to the design, implementation, and management of telecommunications projects.

Focus:
• Lead the design and implementation of telecom network solutions, focusing on Central Office Engineering and Outside Plant Network Design.
• Strategically plan fiber routes and equipment placement to ensure optimal performance and scalability of telecom infrastructure.
• Oversee telecom construction projects, managing contractors and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
• Cultivate strong client relationships through effective communication and engagement, including participation in conferences and client meetings.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on FTTP technologies, including GPON/XGS-PON/NG-PON2 and active ethernet.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of fiber testing and analysis to ensure the quality and reliability of telecom networks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Participate in conferences and travel as necessary to support client needs.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college. PE license required.
• 7-10 years of experience in FTTH Technology/Design.
• Proficiency with FTTP technologies such as GPON/XGS-PON/NG-PON2 and active ethernet.
• Strong understanding of fiber testing, specifications, and analysis, including OSP, Engineering, and Construction of Fiber Optic Systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of FTTH design, construction, RUS specifications and contracts.
• Familiarity with Adtran and Calix access equipment, Engineering and GIS systems.
• Ability to give technical presentations and collaborate effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
