Our client is a leading manufacturer of building materials, offering top-of-the-line structural products. To maintain their success, they focus on product quality and product availability. Due to increased demand, they are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join their team.
The Production Supervisor will oversee production operations, ensuring compliance with Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency and fostering a positive team environment.
Rotating shifts include:
• Days: 5am-2pm (Monday – Friday)
• Nights: 8pm-5am (Sunday – Thursday)

Focus:
• Supervise and provide technical expertise to the Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality Departments.
• Ensure all employees are adequately trained in their respective roles, including safety procedures.
• Review daily operating reports and communicate operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to superiors.
• Prepare various reports and information for senior management.
• Enforce workplace safety practices as per company and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot operational and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency.
• Foster a positive team environment among departmental personnel.
• Conduct objective evaluations of employee performance and initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Discipline personnel in coordination with plant management and Human Resources.
• Ensure immediate medical treatment for injured employees and report incidents as required.
Skill Set:
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, plus 5 years overall experience in the industry.
• Post-Secondary Education, Technical Diploma, GED, or High School Diploma.
• Proficiency in computer skills for reporting purposes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including 1st and 3rd shifts every four weeks
