Operations Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing operations at a key production site. This pivotal role involves comprehensive oversight of the manufacturing processes, focusing on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a motivated workforce within our facility.
As the Operations Manager, you will be entrusted with the management and improvement of our key production processes, including material preparation, welding operations, and finishing tasks such as painting and packaging. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated mid-level management team and indirectly oversee a production crew of skilled professionals, ensuring that our production objectives are met with precision and efficiency.

Focus:
Oversee and guide a team of about five direct reports, while overseeing a broader team of members in production roles. Effectively communicate key production timelines, priorities, and strategic directives to the team, ensuring a cohesive and productive environment. Coordinate closely with direct reports to align departmental timelines and ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with the Maintenance Lead to guarantee that all machinery and equipment receive regular maintenance and remain in optimal operational condition. Engage with the engineering, leadership, and supply chain teams to leverage our ERP system for enhanced planning, monitoring, and management of manufacturing processes. Evaluate existing operational practices and strategize with the team on methods to enhance key performance indicators such as efficiency and waste reduction.
Skill Set:
A minimum high school diploma is required, with an associate degree highly preferred.
At least two to three years in a leadership role in the manufacturing sector, with experience in metal processing being advantageous. Background in cylindrical steel structure production is beneficial, though not mandatory. Proficiency in Spanish is an asset, but not a prerequisite. A collaborative spirit and the ability to address challenges through teamwork across various departments are essential. Experience working within an MRP or EPR to track production operations is required. Proficiency in metalworking, particularly in environments dealing with sheet metal, is valued. Previous work with metal forming machinery, CNC technology, or welding tasks is highly desirable.
