Our client is a healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care to a rural community in Michigan. While situated in a smaller city, the team offers a close-knit and supportive environment with access to post-acute home health and hospital-based services. They are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work on an occasional basis.
This position will oversee a variety of technical procedures that include both in vivo and in vitro studies. This position demands precision in the operation of sophisticated radiation detection and measurement instruments and an empathetic approach to patient care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (no on-call/or weekend)

Focus:
• Operate and manage diagnostic protocols utilizing fixed radiology equipment and gamma radiation detection technology.
• Develop and standardize medicinal radiological agents for human application, ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory standards.
• Perform periodic equipment tuning and evaluate performance metrics to guarantee peak functionality and identify early warning signs of system degradation.
• Prepare and maintain meticulous records of radiopharmaceuticals concerning their receipt, dispensing, and disposal.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the Nuclear Medicine Department by monitoring with portable Geiger counters.
• Provide comprehensive patient care during examinations, prepared to initiate life support measures if necessary.
Skill Set:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Certification by the NMTCB or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Demonstrated ability to handle radiopharmaceuticals safely and knowledgeably.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
• Proven capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
