Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Multifamily Lighting Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our advanced lighting solutions to architects, property developers, and designers in the multifamily residential sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving sales and penetrating new markets.

Focus:
• Engage with clients to understand their lighting needs and recommend lighting that align with their vision.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of our product offerings and the latest trends in the lighting industry.
• Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the design and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
• Manage sales process from initial contact through to close, including documentation and follow-up.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Provide feedback from clients to enhance product offerings and service delivery.
• Proactively seek and establish business development opportunities with key stakeholders in the multifamily housing sector, including developers, general contractors, and electricians.
• Secure and furnish bid documents from clients as part of the company’s standard quotation process.
• Analyze project documents and handle RFI submissions as needed in coordination with the estimating team.
• Ensure timely completion of lighting quotes/estimates to meet strict bid deadlines.
• Monitor and adapt to changes during and after the bid process.
• Provide guidance to Estimators on change requests as necessary.
• Identify and exploit value engineering opportunities within specific product categories to enhance savings and improve profit margins.
• Cultivate and expand relationships with existing clients while developing new customer relationships.
• Manage and supervise project budgets to achieve revenue and profitability targets for each project.
Skill Set:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in lighting sales, quotations/estimating, or related fields in multi-lighting construction supply.
• Familiarity with the lighting supply chain is beneficial.
• Comprehensive understanding of the multifamily construction process and its bidding protocols.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making competencies.
• Professional and polished demeanor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), with the capability to master new software systems such as Oasis Quotation Software, Profit 21, Planswift, and Monday.com.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• High School diploma or GED required.
