The Lighting Project Manager role involves overseeing and coordinating commercial lighting projects, with a focus on installation, energy audits, and LED retrofit solutions. This position requires extensive experience in lighting technologies, financial oversight, and team leadership, while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Focus:

Assist in planning and executing lighting installations by organizing teams and resources to ensure project success.

Monitor project budgets, manage expenses, and handle invoice processing to maintain project profitability while maintaining high standards.

Provide support and guidance to electrical crews and installation teams, ensuring they meet project timelines and standards, while offering hands-on assistance as needed.

Support technical teams by reviewing energy efficiency calculations and findings, leveraging experience from conducting over 100 lighting audits.

Offer expert advice on LED fixtures and control systems to optimize energy savings, supporting design and audit teams in retrofit solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions to meet specific project requirements while maintaining strong client relationships.

Ensure thorough project documentation is maintained, including work orders, scopes of work, and regular progress reports.

Ensure all projects adhere to local regulations and standards, including those specific to NYC electrical and energy codes.

Skill Set:

10+ years in the lighting industry, with substantial hands-on experience in project management and installations for commercial lighting and energy efficiency projects.

Proven experience in a leadership role within a lighting or energy-focused organization, with a background in managing teams.

Deep understanding of lighting systems, including the equipment, tools, and techniques required for diverse lighting projects.

Expertise in energy savings calculations, LED retrofits, and industry standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to clients and team members.

Must be based in or near NYC to ensure timely access to project sites.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Provide support to audit teams by reviewing reports and recommending appropriate fixture replacements and installation strategies.
