Our client is seeking a Junior Packaged Goods Buyer to join their growing manufacturing facility. The Junior Packaged Goods Buyer will assist in purchasing and negotiating food products to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Focus:

Assist in processing purchase orders for products and materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.

· Support senior buyers in collaborating with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement of required materials.

· Learn negotiation techniques and assist in discussions with suppliers under supervision.

· Help evaluate supplier performance and identify potential areas for improvement.

· Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.

· Research market trends and industry developments to support informed purchasing decisions.

· Assist the finance team in reconciling invoices and resolving discrepancies.

· Learn about regulatory requirements and industry standards related to food safety, quality, and sustainability.

Skill Set:

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

1-4 years of experience in procurement or a related field, preferably within the food and beverage industry.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities with a willingness to learn.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with procurement software is a plus.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Eagerness to learn and grow within the procurement field.
