Facility Design Engineer – Electrical
Our client, a distinguished leader in the construction industry known for delivering exceptional industrial and commercial projects, is seeking a Facility Design Engineer – Electrical to join their team.
This role requires a highly skilled professional with a solid background in electrical design, engineering, and construction for industrial and commercial facilities.

Focus:
Develop and design electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams to deliver integrated facility designs.
Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and provide technical input for project planning.
Prepare detailed electrical design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Oversee and review the work of EITs and other junior engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of design deliverables.
Participate in project meetings, providing technical guidance and ensuring design intent is met throughout the construction phase.
Perform calculations for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and other electrical systems.
Engage in value engineering to optimize designs for cost efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in electrical design engineering, with a focus on industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification acceptable with a commitment to obtaining PE licensure.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and practices relevant to industrial and commercial construction.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software; experience with electrical calculation software is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
