Embedded Systems Engineer

As part of their ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, they are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to join their team.
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Engineer responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining firmware and software systems for a two-way communication platform. This role will involve working on both user terminals and system components, contributing to the overall product performance and customer experience.

Focus:
Develop and maintain firmware and software for communication gateway systems and mobile devices.
Create and develop optimized, test-ready embedded software utilizing Embedded C and JavaScript.
Combine system components seamlessly with backend server applications
Set up and manage laboratory environments to facilitate full-system testing.
Build performance models and conduct system stress testing.
Analyze code impact to assess system-wide changes.
Participate in the design of reusable software components that can be leveraged across multiple projects.
Implement software unit testing frameworks to enhance overall code quality.
Troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve operational issues, ensuring seamless customer interactions.
Take ownership of software/firmware architecture and contribute to defining clear, robust system requirements.
Collaborate with teams to create a smooth integration process for end-users.
Skill Set:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally in wireless or embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with Embedded C for RTOS, ARM processors, and Linux.
Proficiency in JavaScript programming.
Experience with peripheral drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, USB).
Knowledge of signal processing, algorithms, and their implementation.
Experience drafting technical specifications based on high-level user stories.
Familiarity with Matlab/Octave is advantageous.
Experience working with hardware analysis tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Desired but not required: FPGA and DSP platform experience, as well as RF knowledge.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact across departments and with various levels of management.
Excellent organizational abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality when needed.
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office and basic ERP systems like NetSuite.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Proficiency in GIT version control systems and experience with software management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bitbucket).
Capable of quickly understanding and debugging existing codebases.
