Electrical Designer – Mission Critical

As an Electrical Designer – Mission Critical, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing electrical systems for mission-critical projects. You will collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.

Focus:

• Assist senior engineers in performing electrical design calculations, technical comparisons, and other technical tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the electrical discipline group.
• Review electrical drawings provided by vendors, clients, and architects, and recommend necessary changes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Research and address code issues, collaborating with city, state, and county officials as necessary.
• Support Project Engineers and Project Managers by researching design options and documenting findings.
• Attend projects and design review meetings, progressively interacting with clients as experience level increases.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Project Engineers and Project Managers.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
• Familiarity with mission critical environments, particularly data centers, is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, as required by project demands.
