Focus:
• Ensure daily operations of the diagnostic imaging department run smoothly, maintaining high standards in service quality and patient safety.
• Act as the designated shift lead, managing workflow, coordinating scheduling, and assisting with department priorities.
• Collaborate with educational partners to provide clinical instruction and performance feedback for imaging students.
• Uphold technical standards for radiologic procedures, ensuring accurate diagnostics through consistent quality control.
• Mentor and support onboarding for new staff, contributing to an inclusive, team-oriented culture.
• Maintain equipment safety and readiness by overseeing maintenance protocols and reporting performance issues.
• Contribute to departmental improvement initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration and innovation in patient care.
• Utilize PACS and EHR systems efficiently for imaging documentation, workflow, and interdepartmental communication.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor of Science degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Program and registration with the ARRT.
• Holds a current active Illinois State License.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff and students.
• Proficient in managing departmental budgets, quality assurance, and statistics.
• Extensive knowledge of PACS and EPIC systems, ensuring smooth operations and data management.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to foster a team-oriented environment.
