Data Center GTM Leader

Our client, a leader in the technology infrastructure space, is seeking an experienced Data Center GTM Leader to contribute to the planning, development, and strategic execution of data center initiatives in the U.S.

Focus:

• Develop and execute data center expansion strategies aligned with the company’s growth goals across the U.S.
• Oversee site selection, acquisition, and development of new data center facilities in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of data center projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Structure, negotiate, and secure financing for new data center projects to support the company’s long-term vision.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, maintaining efficiency and quality at all stages.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. regulations, industry standards, and best practices in the data center and real estate development fields.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders including vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Promote energy efficiency and sustainability best practices in all operational phases of data center projects.
• Provide leadership and guidance to internal teams including IT, finance, facilities, engineering, and legal to ensure smooth execution.
• Create and update documentation for data center infrastructure, processes, and financial models to maintain alignment with the company’s objectives.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in data center operations, real estate development, and project management.
• Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and networking systems.
• Proven experience in real estate development, site selection, and property acquisition.
• Expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and contract management for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with financing structures and investment vehicles used in data center development and real estate.
• Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage effectively with senior management.
• In-depth understanding of U.S. regulations related to data centers and real estate development.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while balancing multiple projects.
• A network of contacts within the U.S. data center and infrastructure sectors (e.g., hyperscalers, service providers, consultants, utilities) is a significant advantage.
• Willingness to travel as required for project oversight, site evaluations, and stakeholder engagements.
