DAS Sales Engineer
Our client, a rapidly scaling systems integrator specializing in wireless infrastructure, is seeking a dynamic DAS Sales Engineer to join their Florida-based team. This critical hire will support client-facing activities and technical sales efforts for major commercial and public safety wireless deployments. Focus:
Act as the technical liaison during client interactions, guiding design and scope discussions during site walks and pre-sales meetings.
Partner with sales and engineering teams to define requirements, build accurate quotes, and tailor technical proposals based on customer needs.
Lead or support field visits across Florida, performing RF data collection, DAS assessments, and public safety wireless evaluations.
Use iBWave and other industry tools to interpret designs, validate technical specifications, and ensure construction readiness.
Maintain strong follow-up communication with clients, helping clarify designs, answer RFP/RFI questions, and ensure technical accuracy of proposals.
Translate customer feedback into actionable insights to inform solution development and product offerings.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance during meetings and walkthroughs to support junior team members or clients with less technical expertise.
Track and manage pre-sales milestones, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of proposals and documentation.
Skill Set:
Proven experience in pre-sales or sales engineering within the wireless infrastructure industry (DAS, small cell, or public safety systems).
Proficiency with iBWave design and documentation tools.
Hands-on experience conducting site walks, technical discovery, and client consultations.
Strong understanding of wireless system design, infrastructure requirements, and signal propagation concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
Ability to travel throughout Florida regularly (approximately 50% travel to job sites).
Exposure to both commercial and public safety DAS environments.
Familiarity with in-building RF systems, code compliance, and jurisdiction-specific wireless standards.
Previous involvement in end-to-end project scoping from design to installation kickoff.
