Our client is an organization dedicated to supporting children and families in the community, and they are currently seeking to hire a Counselor. This role entails providing therapeutic services, including clinical assessment and therapy for individuals and families affected by child abuse. The candidate will play a vital role in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the well-being and recovery of clients through various therapeutic interventions and support mechanisms.

Focus:
• Conduct clinical assessments and provide therapy to children, adolescents, non-offending adults, and families dealing with child abuse issues.
• Facilitate group therapy and interventions as needed for guardians and adolescents.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client files in accordance with OBHL, center policies, and forensic standards.
• Coordinate services with a multidisciplinary team, including law enforcement, CPS, medical staff, and forensic interviewers.
• Participate in weekly supervision sessions to discuss cases, treatment goals, and intervention strategies.
• Provide court testimony and represent the organization in public forums.
• Engage in self-care and team-building activities within the center.
Skill Set:
• Master’s degree in counseling or social work.
• Associate license with experience in child and trauma therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children facing complex trauma.
• Effective collaborator with a passion for making a difference in the community.
• Strong communication skills, bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledgeable in clinical diagnosis and evidence-based interventions.
