Our client, a cornerstone in the automotive world, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of their organization.
The Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial data. This role demands robust knowledge of dealership operations, accounting expertise, and regulatory compliance to manage all financial aspects smoothly and efficiently.

Focus:
• Hire, train, and supervise office personnel to ensure a high-performance team.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements in compliance with dealership guidelines and manufacturer’s standards.
• Maintain rigorous control of all documentation, including transactions and inventory changes.
• Manage daily financial operations, including bank deposits, cash reports, and ensuring a timely daily operating control (DOC).
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for selected accounts and close monthly financial periods successfully.
• Ensure strict adherence to all governmental and manufacturer financial regulations.
• Prepare and oversee all tax-related tasks, including sales tax and payroll tax deposits and returns.
• Manage multi-structured payroll processes and verify their accuracy.
• Maintain and review general ledger and financial reports for any unusual activity.
• Direct the assessment of depreciation rates for capital assets and ensure proper reconciliations with external sources.
• Stay updated with tax code revisions and advise on necessary operational adjustments.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or similar certification highly preferred.
• At least 10 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the dealership environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
