Capital Project Manager Engineer
Our client is a prominent global organization in the materials industry, renowned for its extensive portfolio of valuable assets across various geographic regions. With significant reserves, including substantial copper and gold deposits, and operations spanning North and South America, our client stands as a leader in the metals industry.
We are currently seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing engineering projects, ensuring efficient execution, and driving innovation within the organization.

Focus:
Financial Reporting: Take a lead role in preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Technical Accounting Support: Provide expertise in complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and financial instrument accounting. GAAP Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the organization’s accounting practices remain compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits and reviews. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Finance, Tax, and Operations, to address accounting-related inquiries and facilitate interdepartmental projects. Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to accounting staff on technical accounting matters, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on technical accounting. Prior experience in the resource extraction or manufacturing sectors is advantageous. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP and IFRS. Proven ability to analyze complex accounting issues and provide practical solutions. Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
