Our client is a distinguished law firm with over 45 years of excellence specializing in Construction and Surety Law. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our client’s construction and surety law practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction law, contract law, and surety bonds, with a strong desire to grow within this specialized field. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution, litigation, and surety bond claims.

Focus:
• Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of construction contracts and related documents.
• Provide legal counsel on construction law and surety bond issues to clients in the construction industry.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in construction-related disputes, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
• Analyze and advise on risk management strategies related to construction projects and surety bonds.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals within the firm.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments in construction and surety law.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and court hearings as required.
Skill Set:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction law, contract law, or surety law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Experience in litigation, mediation, and arbitration is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction industry practices and regulations is a plus.
