Advanced Process Control Engineer (APC Engineer)

Focus:
• Process Control Systems Leadership: Lead the development and execution of advanced control strategies and solutions to improve process efficiency and performance.
• Technical Mastery: Provide deep technical expertise in process control systems, including integration of programmable logic controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), and other automation technologies.
• Regulatory and Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards, maintaining the highest levels of operational integrity and safety.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams and external partners to synchronize process control initiatives and tackle technical challenges.
• Safety and Environmental Stewardship: Guarantee that all process control activities are in strict compliance with both safety and environmental policies and regulations.
• Financial and Resource Management: Collaborate with finance and operational teams to manage budgets and resources efficiently for process control projects.
• Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: Continually seek and identify opportunities for process improvement, promoting a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field); a Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in engineering roles, specifically with a focus on process control and automation in the manufacturing or materials sector.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Completion of advanced training or certifications related to PLC/DCS systems.
• Expertise in Process Information Systems or similar database systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of process engineering principles, particularly those relevant to the manufacturing and processing industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex process control projects successfully.
• Skilled in the use of engineering software and project management tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with teams across the organization and with external partners.
