Accounting Manager

Our client, a leader in the commercial real estate solutions industry, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting practices and a background in the real estate or construction sector, with an ability to lead and mentor a distributed team.

Focus:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
• Manage and train remote accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure timely completion of financial statements, reports, and audits.
• Maintain accounting systems and records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in commercial real estate or construction preferred.
• Proven experience managing and coaching remote or geographically dispersed teams.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Yardi systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, required.
• Familiarity with Mac iOS is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting for real estate projects or portfolios.
