Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic pursuit, scoping, and kickoff of building-systems projects in partnership with architects and municipal clients.
• Direct the full lifecycle of MEP assignments-concept, design, QA/QC, budgeting, invoicing, and close-out-while meeting scope, schedule, and fee targets.
• Serve as the primary technical authority and client liaison, translating complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable plans.
• Oversee a mix of stand-alone systems and integrated multidisciplinary designs, coordinating work of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty sub-consultants.
• Mentor and coach emerging engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Champion process improvements-new digital tools, BIM workflows, and best-practice standards-to elevate project delivery.
• Conduct field investigations and periodic on-site construction visits, resolving issues to preserve design intent and project momentum.
• Contribute thought leadership through committees, Communities of Practice, and industry events to expand the firm’s regional presence.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years of progressive experience delivering building MEP systems in consulting or design-build settings.
• Proven expertise in at least one core discipline (HVAC, electrical, or plumbing) plus working knowledge of complementary systems.
• Proficiency with BIM/REVIT, load-calculation software, and project-management/ERP tools.
• Strong team-leadership, mentoring, and client-relationship skills.
• S. work authorization (no current or future sponsorship).
