Mammography Technologist – Open to X-ray Techs Seeking Training!

Location: Greater Seattle Area – Issaquah, Bellevue, Federal Way.

Pay Range: for those without a mammography certification, pay starts at $38/hr during training. For certified applicants: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible start time between 7:30-9:30).

What You’ll Do

• For trained Mammography Technologists – Perform high-quality mammography imaging procedures following industry best practices.
• For X-ray Techs seeking training – Receive comprehensive hands-on training to gain certification in Mammography while working in a supportive learning environment.
• Prepare and guide patients through the exam process, ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns.
• Screen patients for safety precautions, verifying identity with two patient identifiers.
• Operate and adjust imaging equipment for optimal scan quality while applying dose reduction techniques.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow technologists.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, accreditation, and HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and keep workspaces clean and organized.
• Provide support in department initiatives, training new team members, and optimizing imaging protocols.

What You Bring

For experienced Mammography Technologists:

• ARRT registered Technologist, current and in good standing.
• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiography program.
• State licensure (if required).
• Current CPR certification.
• Hands-on experience performing independent mammography procedures.
• Understanding of MQSA and state-specific CEU requirements.

For X-ray Techs looking to cross-train:

• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech).
• Passion for women’s health and advanced imaging.
• Willingness to complete Mammography training and certification (training provided).
• Strong patient care and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Bilingual candidates are highly desirable.
• Experience in a high-volume diagnostic imaging center.
