Our client is a high-performance niche wireless operator in the New York City market. Their solutions portfolio includes wireless applications, indoor/outdoor DAS, utilities, project delivery, and more. They are hiring a Field Installation Manager to oversee procedures and execution of DAS installation projects. This person will have access to a large pool of technical resources and support staff to deliver top-quality distributed antenna systems.
In this newly created position, the Field Installation Manager will manage the field team in the field for DAS and fiber infrastructure installations. They will oversee new site builds, establish project standards, and assist with training engineers and technicians.

Focus:
- Manage DAS and fiber installation projects for large venues, including office buildings, hospitals, stadiums, and educational facilities.
- Train new technician and field engineering team members on best practices, technical equipment, and safety standards.
- Act as the escalation point and technical resource for the team.
- Assign tasks to DAS engineers, field technicians, subcontractors, and carrier liaisons.
- Complete site surveys, site walks, and compliance discussions.
- Organize project scope, timeline, supplies, and delivery. Coordinate with clients to update them on major changes, obstacles, and milestones.
Skills:
- 4+ years of technical project management experience, with a heavy focus on DAS.
- Strong background in managing teams in the field.
- Industry background in wireless/telecom, ideally with neutral host experience. DAS OEM certifications are a plus.
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Outdoor distributed antenna systems (DAS / oDAS)
- ISP & OSP construction
- Wireless infrastructure
- Fiber networks
- Site surveys
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience within wireless construction management.
- Ability to read and interpret iBwave designs and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
