They are looking to hire an AP manager who oversees a dedicated team and collaborates with cross-functional teams to manage the conversion of the Accounts Payable system, interfacing with connecting systems, the general ledger (GL), and procurement.
The AP Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of accounts payable processes while maintaining compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, also takes responsibility for updating AP policies and procedures, conducting expense analytics to support variance analysis, and ensuring proper accruals for unrecorded liabilities.

Focus:
• Lead and supervise daily accounts payable operations for multiple companies in a shared service setting.
• Manage and mentor the Accounts Payable team, including hiring and onboarding.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
• Investigate and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies, implementing process improvements.
• Develop and implement scalable policies, procedures, and systems for efficient operations.
• Provide training on travel and expense policies to company personnel.
• Oversee relationships with third-party service providers.
• Manage investigations related to amounts due from the company and prepare necessary reports.
Skill Set:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounts payable experience in an automated financial environment (in manufacturing industry, is a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience managing a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable, expense reimbursement systems, and general ledger integration.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable policies, expense analytics, unrecorded liability accruals, and general ledger coding.
• Familiarity with general accounting practices and procedures, including accruals and prepaid accounts.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Salary: $108,384 – $162,576
