Our client is a leading manufacturer of building materials, offering top-of-the-line structural products. To maintain their success, they focus on product quality and product availability. They are looking for a Shipping Clerk to support the daily shipping and receiving operations in the warehouse department.
The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing the shipment of building materials to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining a well-organized distribution department. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Focus:
• Pick, package, ship, and organize inventory and products for customers.
• Process and prioritize orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of order details.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and coordinate restocking activities as needed.
• Oversee the proper packing and labeling of products for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate shipments with various carriers and freight companies to meet delivery deadlines.
• Operate shipping and warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, etc.
• Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure that products meet established quality standards and are free from defects.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs forms, to facilitate the smooth movement of goods.
• Communicate with internal teams, customers, and carriers to provide shipment status updates, resolve issues, and address any shipping-related inquiries.
Skill Set:
• 2+ years of manufacturing, shipping, and/or warehousing experience.
• Must be forklift certified.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Strong ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, scanning tools, SAP, and logistics management software.
• Proficient math skills with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to regularly attend scheduled shifts on-site with occasional over-time.
