Our client is a top nationwide telecom integrator providing carrier-grade small cell design and implementation. They are hiring a VP of Sales to take ownership of a growth-focused sales strategy for Electric Utilities division.
The VP of Sales will develop and refine the current sales strategy, ensure partner engagement, and drive industry growth. This role involves orchestrating go-to-market and product efforts, collaborating with stakeholders, and reporting progress to the Executive Team.

Focus:
Build and implement long- and short-term sales and go-to-market strategies for company electric utility engineering service solutions. Manage and cultivate high-level commercial account relationships. Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota objectives. Manage direct reports, with a large sales team and additional network of reps, with additional hiring flexibility. Bring a fresh outlook and new tools to transform and optimize existing processes and methods across business units, in sales, marketing, finance, and upper management. Unite disparate business units to improve customer experience for large service provider accounts. Conduct aggressive prospecting in high-growth markets. Identify new prospects whose business needs align with product offerings and develop compelling use cases. Understand customer expectations and negotiate contracts effectively.
Skill Set
10+ years of experience in the electric utility industry with extensive high-level sales experience and ownership over large-scale growth initiatives. 5+ years of experience managing direct reports and complex cross-functional teams. BS in Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred with management or technical specialization. Deep knowledge of major industry players, regional and global market trends, emerging and disruptive technologies, and systems/software. Experienced in utility distribution, joint-use, and communications engineering. Masterfully manage teams, confidently addressing sales, business development, solutions engineering, and internal support facets. Possess extensive B2B sales and business development acumen, with an innate grasp of best practices. Excel in interpersonal communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills. Demonstrate strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
