As a VMware Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our client’s data and cloud offerings. You will contribute to the seamless operation and optimization of their large-scale cloud environment while collaborating closely with the Director of Cloud Operations on Storage Area Network environments. Your expertise will guide the design, implementation, and enhancement of complex system requirements to ensure the highest levels of performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Focus:

Lead the development, definition, and implementation of complex system requirements, intricately tailored to harmonize with the dynamic shifts within the business landscape. Assume a pivotal function in furnishing second-tier customer support, capitalizing on your comprehensive grasp of IT and data center framework.

Actively participate in IT projects led by the Director of Cloud Operations, contributing to all stages from conceptualization to technology refresh. Take ownership of system-level process improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence within the large-scale data center environment. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex operational and performance issues to maintain high standards of service delivery. Create, update, and adhere to meticulous documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Skill Set

In-depth familiarity with enterprise-level IT and data center infrastructure, including hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, software-based storage solutions, cloud storage, and flash arrays. VMWare NSX experience highly preferred. Forward-thinking, methodical, and self-motivated mindset, consistently seeking innovative solutions to challenges. Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with clients and teams. Passion for customer interaction and support, demonstrating a proactive approach to understanding and addressing client needs.

Willingness and eagerness to stay updated on the latest technological advancements in the field, expanding your skill set accordingly. Strong aptitude for creating, maintaining, and adhering to documentation and SOPs to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
