Our client is a key player in the energy sector, renowned for its stability and growth over the past 50 years. With a robust leadership team, the company is poised for significant growth, particularly in the data center market. They’re looking for a skillful Vice President of Sales – Data Center.
The individual will spearhead the company’s efforts to expand its footprint in the data center market. This position requires a strategic leader who can identify market trends, build and maintain relationships with key industry players, and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve ambitious sales goals.

Focus:
• Assess the data center market to identify major players, market size, growth potentials, trends, and geopolitical factors affecting the industry.
• Define and implement a robust sales growth strategy tailored to the data center market.
• Lead and mentor a commercial team focused on the data center market, driving sales, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.
• Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing data center customers, including hyperscale data centers, co-location developers, EPCs, contractors, and distributors.
• Build and maintain a strong sales organization to support the company’s growth initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a robust inquiry pipeline using all available resources, track and analyze pipeline activity, and optimize inquiry-to-quote conversion.
• Oversee a team of sales and application engineers to deliver high-quality, accurate, and effective quotations.
• Monitor outstanding quotes, take necessary actions to enhance hit rates, and meet budgeted profit and plant loading targets.
• Manage the sales rep network to ensure goal achievement, support customer visits, provide product training, and gather bid feedback.
• Define and maintain critical market intelligence, including insights on market trends, customers, and competitors.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials highlighting the company’s value propositions and differentiators.
• Interact positively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization, including production, engineering, quality, sales, administration, and senior leadership.
Skill Set:
• Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in the data center market, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
• Deep market knowledge and established relationships within the data center industry.
• Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth.
• Ability to analyze market trends and data to inform strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at the C-suite level.
• Comfortable working in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
• Availability to relocate.
