As a Transportation Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply network, covering outbound, inbound, rail, and maritime transportation. Your responsibilities encompass fine-tuning shipment timetables, minimizing transportation expenses, choosing service providers, and guaranteeing adherence to safety regulations for hazardous materials. Additionally, you’ll lead the Logistics Department and monitor companywide freight expenses for budget compliance.

Focus:
Oversee all aspects of company logistics, including outbound, inbound, rail, and ocean freight operations. Develop and manage shipping schedules that align with company and customer requirements, aiming to minimize freight costs. Apply your knowledge to choose transportation partners, negotiate favorable freight rates, and guarantee compliance with safety standards for hazardous materials. Provide leadership and guidance to the Logistics Department team, fostering a cohesive and efficient working environment.
Vigilantly monitor companywide freight expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
Skill Set
Grade school required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in overseeing domestic and global transportation, including the management of hazardous materials. Proficient in word processing and related software/hardware.
Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. Professional, dependable, and composed under pressure; fosters teamwork.
